Good.

( But he could almost laugh a little bit. No kidding. When he was little, he'd seen different comic books, and of course different characters acted differently and performed to a different standard, but he thought there might be something more universal in real life. That there was some kind of universal morality that someone who became a vigilante or a superhero or whatever they called themselves might try to live up to. )

The girl I told you about is one of the most reputable criminals in New York. I think she does more good than most of our "heroes."

( So there's that for complicated moral situations. Their lives. )

There are so many ways to navigate power, Atlas. My sister and brother-in-law rule our people, and yet they often can't do as much as those who don't have such titles. The X-men are hated, by a lot of our world, and yet they do more good than anyone.

And my daughter's grandfather, the terrorist I just spoke of? He's a great man, too, in some ways.

Maybe we make up sides and labels because it's easier than actually contemplating that no one fits them precisely.
